Medical cannabis or as commonly referred to medical marijuana is growingin popularity as more states legalize the use. It is available only by prescription and is used to treat a variety of medical conditions (such as pain, anxiety, nausea, and glaucoma). Cancer is one of the leading conditions treated with medical cannabis.

While every state has laws dictating the use of medical marijuana, more than two thirds of U.S. states and the District of Columbia have actually legalized it for medical treatments and more are considering bills to do the same.
