CBD hemp flower has become all the rage lately. Indeed, when it comes to CBD, nearly 33% of all American adults have tried the product. This is an exceptionally high number, particularly when one considers that it has been legal for less than two years.
CBD’s popularity, and the popularity of the Cannaflower CBD hemp flower, come from CBD’s purported health benefits. Research is still ongoing, and none of the below should be confused for a definitive medical claim or medical advice. However, ongoing research continues to point to many of CBD’s potential benefits, including some specific benefits for women.
Menstrual Pain Relief
One of CBD’s biggest potential benefits may be its ability to reduce pain, with some studies and the anecdotal experiences of millions of users pointing to this possibility. This can be invaluable for everyone, but particularly for women who experience mild to severe pain as a result of their menstrual cycle.
A variety of studies have found that CBD may be helpful when it comes to battling pain, and particularly difficult to treat pain. It thus follows that CBD may be helpful for allowing women to better manage their menstrual pain, and many anecdotal reports from women have expressed their belief that CBD has helped them battle period pain.
To be clear, much, much more scientific research is needed in this area before more definitive conclusions can be made. However, available research has indicated that CBD helps the body regulate pain and inflammation, and it thus does make sense that CBD may be able to assist in period pain relief.
Mood Disorders
Unfortunately, women are more likely than men to suffer from certain types of mood disorders, including depression and anxiety. However, there may be good news, as some evidence has indicated that CBD may be able to help battle these mood disorders.
When it comes to depression, some studies have found that CBD may be able to help quickly reduce the symptoms of depression in animals. Other studies have noted that CBD may be able to help with stress reduction, and additional research has determined that the impact of CBD may be both fast and long-lasting.
Anxiety may also be helped by CBD, with some studies finding that CBD reduces anxiety in animals and humans. Furthermore, additional studies have found that CBD’s positive impact may be felt over a wide array of anxiety types, including obsessive-compulsive disorder, performance anxiety, social anxiety, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Menopause
For most women, menopause is a negative experience and one that comes with an array of physical and emotional sensations, including hot flashes, pain, anxiety, depression, and more.
There is, as of yet, no research that shows that CBD can help women manage the hormonal changes that occur during menopause. However, as noted above, there is some evidence to indicate that CBD may be able to reduce pain, inflammation, and a variety of mood disorders. CBD may also be able to reduce some specific types of pain, like chronic pain or nerve pain. As such, it follows that CBD may be able to help women who are experiencing pain from menopause.
There is further good news, as CBD’s flexibility means that it may be useful for women in a variety of ways. It can be taken as a capsule, tincture, edible, and lotion, in addition to many other ways. This allows women to consume the CBD in the way that best suits their needs, and potentially used as a topical in an effort to target relief towards a certain area.
Skin Disorders
Women are more likely to suffer from certain skin disorders, including rosacea and psoriasis. Again, when it comes to CBD, there is good news, as some research shows that CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties can reduce the pain and symptoms of these two skin disorders, potentially providing women with relief for these unsightly and painful skin problems.
Nutritional Benefits
It goes without saying that men and women have different nutritional needs. While every person obviously has different nutritional requirements, generally speaking, women have very different nutritional requirements than men.
CBD flower comes loaded with all of CBD’s naturally-occurring components, including cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes. It also comes with many nutritional benefits, such as antioxidants and certain proteins. Science says that antioxidants can be helpful for dealing with a variety of conditions, including protecting against heart disease, certain types of cancer, and more. These are issues that are, unfortunately, major killers of women.
