October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and breast cancer is the number one cause of cancer in women. There are many companies and organizations that advocate for the funding of breast cancer research and treatment, the leading breast cancer organization being Susan G. Komen. Susan G. Komen has partnered with Avocados From Mexico, the number one selling avocado brand in the United States. This partnership called “A Super Good Cause” is aiming to promote customer awareness and knowledge about breast cancer.
For the fourth year in a row, Avocados From Mexico is donating $100,000 to Susan G. Komen and visually showing their support. Limited edition displays and avocado bags are being turned pink and feature the Susan G. Komen logo to promote breast cancer awareness this October. One in eight women receives a breast cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, and raising awareness to advocate for their consumers’ needs is exactly the positive message Avocados From Mexico wants to send.
Stephanic Bazan, Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Execution at Avocados From Mexico, states that “it’s the perfect opportunity to showcase our always good avocados at retail through our pink packaging and in-store displays to build shopper support for this meaningful cause.”
Sarah Rosales, Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships at Susan G. Komen, chimes in, saying, “As we continue to show up for patients with such a powerful mission in mind, it’s an honor to have the continued support of Avocados From Mexico. Throughout the years, [Avocados From Mexico] has done an incredible job raising awareness, sharing key health messages, and directing consumers to the resources they need to stay informed about their health and make beneficial nutritional decisions.”
This partnership promotes a nourishing diet and the healthy nutrients of avocados as well as advocates for research to cure the most popular type of cancer among women. Help promote and celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October by supporting breast cancer research and companies that represent breast cancer awareness.
