If you struggle to fall asleep

One of the most common reasons that individuals struggle to fall asleep at night is because they are stimulating their bodies with blue light. Everyone should aim to turn off those electronic devices at least two hours before bedtime, so our body can have a chance to unwind.

While some people believe that too much sleep is a good thing, it’s actually quite the opposite! If you dream all night

While some individuals seem to dream all night, and other’s not at all, the fact is that we actually all dream the exact same amount. The difference is that the individuals that remember their dreams are waking up immediately after the REM stage. In other words, you aren’t getting a good enough rest! If you wake up throughout the night

Poor sleep usually occurs if you have had too much caffeine throughout the day, or if you have previously rested. This causes you to toss and turn, and often wake up at various hours. However, it could also be because of an underlying condition, causing you to wake. This could be to do with your breathing, digestive system, or hormones during menopause. Try setting a fixed sleep schedule and avoid alcohol before bed.

And there you have it! While some of us have entirely different sleep patterns to our significant others, most causes have explanations that can be managed. Just remember to drink plenty of water, exercise throughout the day, and avoid taking short naps. You’ll be snoozing away in no time!
