There are many ways to eat salmon, but it is so simple for me to take the the easy way out and say: slow roasted is best. If you’re looking for a fun and fresh meal to keep your spring produce game strong, here it is! This salmon is perfectly tender on the inside yet crispy up top, and when paired with fresh berries, this is an all-around feel good meal.
Salmon is one of those foods that is great to include in your diet on a regular basis. In addition to providing 6 grams of protein per ounce, salmon is rich in vitamin B12 and a type of fat known as omega-3. The American Heart Association recommends that people without heart disease consume at least 8 ounces (about 2 servings) of fatty fish, such as salmon, per week.
Fresh Salmon Filets: Pick your favorite kind of salmon. I suggest a fatty salmon such as wild-caught King salmon or Atlantic salmon. My preference is wild-caught salmon because it has a high amount of omega 3 fatty acids.
