Of all the salty, crunchy, savory snacks out there, stovetop popcorn is one of the tastiest and cheapest snacks. You can make it in under 10 minutes if your craving a snack, you can easily adjust the amounts to yield a single serving or make a big batch of popcorn for your favorite recipe or a party.

These adorably spooky popcorn treats are a must-have at your next Halloween party!

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp Butter (If you are vegan you can use your preferred oil or shortening)
  • 12 oz package Marshmallows
  • 14 cups popped Yellow Popcorn (150 g, about ¾ cup unpopped)
  • Grass Green Food Coloring

For Decorating

  • Assorted Decorating Icings
  • Candy Googly Eyes
  • Assorted Candies

Instructions

  1. Line a 13 x 9-inch pan with parchment paper. Spray evenly with oil. Pop popcorn according to package directions and remove any unpopped kernels.
  2. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add 20-30 drops grass green food coloring, or enough to reach your desired color. Stir well to combine. Remove from heat.
  3. Add popped popcorn to the marshmallow mixture. Stir until well coated.
  4. Using parchment paper sprayed with a little oil, evenly press mixture into the prepared pan. Cool. Cut into monster shapes and decorate. Best if served the same day.
