Of all the salty, crunchy, savory snacks out there, stovetop popcorn is one of the tastiest and cheapest snacks. You can make it in under 10 minutes if your craving a snack, you can easily adjust the amounts to yield a single serving or make a big batch of popcorn for your favorite recipe or a party.
These adorably spooky popcorn treats are a must-have at your next Halloween party!
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp Butter (If you are vegan you can use your preferred oil or shortening)
- 12 oz package Marshmallows
- 14 cups popped Yellow Popcorn (150 g, about ¾ cup unpopped)
- Grass Green Food Coloring
For Decorating
- Assorted Decorating Icings
- Candy Googly Eyes
- Assorted Candies
Instructions
- Line a 13 x 9-inch pan with parchment paper. Spray evenly with oil. Pop popcorn according to package directions and remove any unpopped kernels.
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add 20-30 drops grass green food coloring, or enough to reach your desired color. Stir well to combine. Remove from heat.
- Add popped popcorn to the marshmallow mixture. Stir until well coated.
- Using parchment paper sprayed with a little oil, evenly press mixture into the prepared pan. Cool. Cut into monster shapes and decorate. Best if served the same day.
