The key to the success of the Mediterranean Diet is the lack of processed, saturated and refined foods. The prominence of leafy greens, whole grains, and fruits in the region makes this diet easier to achieve. Limit your consumption of red meat, sugar, and dairy to follow this diet successfully. Many people follow this diet who have heart problems, weight issues, and diabetes.

Paleo Diet

The Paleo Diet is modelled after the Paleolithic or Stone Age diet where its main focus is eliminating two food groups, grain and dairy. This diet is often adopted by those who are trying to reduce their risk of heart disease, certain cancers and inflammation. It is meant to focus on whole foods as this was a time before animal domestication, crops, and harvesting tools, so fruits, veggies, lean meats, and fish are the primary makeup of this diet. It is best for improving workouts, increasing energy levels, weight loss, and stabilizing blood sugar.
